What We Do
At JFM we believe our role is to help the people we support become active, vibrant members of their communities to the best of each individual’s abilities. We achieve this by providing:
- Residential facilities offering a wide-range of living options – from independent apartment-style with minimal staff support to full range 24-hour a day dedicated staff.
- Community Supports offers a variety of community-based day programs focused on increasing confidence in personal, social, and employment related skills based on the abilities and interests of the individual
- Life Center and Navigators programs for young adults offering skill building for greater independence
- Recreational activities, including community events, dances and musical presentations and participation in Special Olympics programs
The Margaret Murphy Centers for Children are licensed special education placement and day treatment facilities. The five schools and the co-located program at Geiger Elementary School provide Pre-School, Elementary and Secondary Services, all with a single goal – to maximize the potential of each child.
The Professional Services and Training department offers Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certification, as well as other state and federally-mandated recertification programs including First Aid and CPR, and a high quality, minimally-invasive physical intervention program (NAPPI) that is required for DSPs and other professionals in our field. A wide array of Professional Development Workshops provides educational insights and updates for professionals and the community at large.
