The Program Philosophy - The Margaret Murphy Center for Children emphasizes the importance of creating environments and providing individualized supports to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. We believe that every child is full of potential; potential that can be maximized here at our Center.

The Approach - Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis strategies and  methodologies, driven by the needs of the child, we develop individualized treatment plans for the children at the Center. These plans are comprehensive and address all areas of the child's development. Individual progress is monitored by the use of ongoing data collection and assessment.

Program Components:
  • Functional Communication Training
  • Systematic Instruction - discrete trial teaching, errorless teaching, natural environment teaching, task analysis and prompt fading techniques, including an emphasis on verbal behavior techniques
