Life Center The Life Center is a program for young adults with Mental Retardation that addresses their vocational, social, and daily living needs as well as their need for ongoing learning experiences in their community following high school. The program provides the essential bridge between adolescence and adulthood. The Life Center has both work and day habilitation components. The Life Center supports individuals who reside in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area. These individuals: Have the interest and ability to work in a community supported employment setting Have the interest and ability to participate in an active community based program Are independent in basic activities of daily living MISSION STATEMENT We, the participants, are Lifelong learners who Invest in our community with Family support through ongoing Education and Recreation   We need Challenging Careers in Environments that are safe to Nurture our independence… Teaching Everyone Respect!
