Employee Benefits

At John F. Murphy Homes (JFM), our benefits package reflects our commitment to our staff --- offering a full line of benefits that are fair and competitive. 

Medical Insurance

¨       An excellent medical plan offered to full time employees (30+ hours) and eligible dependents. Coverage for employees is paid by JFM; coverage for dependents available and paid through payroll deduction and may be paid with pre-tax dollars.

¨       Large network of physicians available; out-of-network benefits also available.

¨       Effective on the 1st day of the month following 30 day waiting period.

¨       In network / referred services and prescriptions paid 100% after co-pay.

¨       Vision benefit and prescription lens reimbursement available.

Dental Insurance

¨       Employee and family coverage available to full time employees.  Employee contributions vary and may be paid with pre-tax dollars.

¨       Preventive and diagnostic services – 100% of the fee schedule; Restorative services, Endodontics, Periodontics – 80% of the fee schedule; Major services – 50% of the fee schedule

¨       Effective on the 1st day of the month following 30 day waiting period.

Life / Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

¨       Employee coverage available to full time employees.

¨       $20,000 minimum -or- equivalent of one times annual salary coverage for employee - paid 100% by JFM.  Increased coverage (buy-ups) available.

¨       Coverage available for eligible dependents: $5,000 for spouse; $2,000 per child.  Employee contributions vary for buy-ups and dependent coverage.

¨       Effective on the 1st day of the month following 30 day waiting period.

Tax – Sheltered Annuity 403(b) Plan

¨       Available to all employees.  Enrollment available upon hire or anytime thereafter.  Pre-tax contributions up to the IRS limit per year.

 Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

¨       Free - Professional - Confidential   When personal problems are too tough to face alone. JFM offers short-term counseling (up to 5 sessions) to all employees and family members. 

Vacation Time

¨       2 to 3 weeks - accrued from date of hire based on position.  Available to regular full time and part time (20+ hours) employees.  Accruals vary according to regularly scheduled hours.

Personal Time

¨       6 days - accrued from date of hire.  Available to regular full time and part time (20+ hours) employees. Accruals vary according to regularly scheduled hours.

Holidays

¨       9 paid holidays per year.  Available to regular full time and part time (20+ hours) employees. Accruals vary according to regularly scheduled hours.

Auto / Homeowner’s / Renter’s Insurance

¨       Group rates available through payroll deductions for regular PT/FT employees.
